23 Nominierungen für stereoskopische 3D-Filme bei den Oscars, Hugo Cabret absoluter Favorit

Die Oscar-Verleihungen sind der Höhepunkt der Award-Saison. Heute hat die Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences die Nominierungen für die 84. Academy Awards bekannt gegeben. Absoluter Favorit ist der erste 3D-Film von Martin Scorsese, Hugo Cabret. Damit hätten viele sicher nicht gerechnet. Der fantastische Stummfilm The Artist folgt mit insgesamt zehn Nominierungen. Die Verleihung der 84. Academy Awards findet am 26. Februar in Los Angeles statt.

Und es gab noch einige weitere Überraschungen:

  • Wim Wenders und Gian Piero Ringel sind für den 3D-Tanzfilm PINA in der Kategorie Bester Dokumentarfilm nominiert. Das ist die allererste Nominierung für einen 3D-Film in dieser Kategorie. Holt euch den Goldjungen!
  • Erstmals in der Geschichte befindet sich ein Pixarfilm nicht unter den Nominierungen für den besten Animationsfilm. Das ist ein ziemlicher Dämpfer für Cars 2. Allein in der Rubrik Animierter Kurzfilm ist der Vorfilm von Merida, La Luna von Enrico Casarosa, vertreten.
  • Andy Serkis hätte für seine MotionCapture-Performance in Planet der Affen: Prevolution eine Nominierung als Bester Nebendarsteller erhalten sollen, ging aber leider leer aus. Kritikern ist der schauspielerische Anteil zu gering oder zu unklar.
  • Auf der anderen Seite ist der CGI-Animationsfilm Die Abenteuer von Tim und Struppi wie vorhergesagt nicht in der Kategorie Bester Animationsfilm vertreten, dafür sei aufgrund des MoCap-Verfahrens der schauspielerische Anteil zu hoch.
  • Abschließend möchte ich ja die Forderung nach einem Preis für die beste Stereoskopische 3D-Produktion aufstellen. Das wird fällig. 🙂
