ONCE UPON A TIME… und 1917 – die Gewinner der 77. Golden Globes

Die Award-Season ist im vollen Gange: Bevor am 13. Januar die Nominierungen für die Academy Awards aka Oscars bekannt gegeben werden, verlieh die Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) bereits heute am 5. Januar 2019 ihre goldenen Statuetten.

77 Golden Globes

Mit drei Golden Globes dominiert ONCE UPON A TIME… IM HOLLYWOOD die 77. Verleihung. Zum einen konnte Quentin Tarantinos Ausflug in das Hollwood von 1969 den Globe als Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy (…) ergattern, Tarantino wurde für das beste Drehbuch ausgezeichnet und Brad Pitt als Beste männliche Nebenrolle. Sam Mendes packendes Kriegsdrama 1917 holte sich die beiden Königskategorien als Best Motion Picture und Best Director. PARASITE wird mit dem Globe für Best Motion Picture- Foreign Language geehrt. Trotz der großen Anzahl an Nominierungen von Netflix-Filmen in den Hauptkategorien zeigten die Juroren diesen die kalte Schulter: bis auf Laura Dern als Beste weibliche Nebenrolle in MARRIAGE STORY konnte kein Globe ergattert werden. Bei den Animationsfilmen siegt der Außenseiter: Laikas Stopmotion-Film MISSING LINK triumphiert gegen die Blockbuster der Major-Studios.
