Academy Award 2023 – diese Oscar-Gewinner schreiben Geschichte

Die Oscars 2023 sind vergeben – und diese Verleihung schrieb Geschichte! Hier alle Gewinnerinnen und Gewinner im Überblick:

Die 95. Oscar-Verleihung fand am 12. März 2023 im Dolby Theatre in Hollywood statt und brachte das Beste aus der Filmbranche zusammen, um herausragende Leistungen im Kino zu feiern. Die diesjährige Zeremonie war eine Mischung aus emotionalen Momenten, triumphalen Gewinnern und bemerkenswerten Reden. Die meisten Auszeichnungen erhielt die Fantasy-Komödie EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE von Daniel Kwan und Daniel Scheinert, die sieben Mal ausgezeichnet wurde. Erstmals wurde mit Michelle Yeoh eine asiatische Schauspielerin mit einem Oscar ausgezeichnet.
Die deutsche Koproduktion IM WESTEN NICHTS NEUES (ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT) von Edward Berger erhielt vier Auszeichnungen- Bester internationaler Film, Beste Kamera, Bestes Produktionsdesign und Beste Filmmusik (und da hatte ich wirklich auf BABYLON getippt!!!). Die Neuverfilmung von Erich Maria Remarques gleichnamigem Antikriegsroman aus dem Jahr 1928 stellte mit neun Nominierungen einen neuen Rekord für einen deutschen Film auf, die vier Auszeichnungen sind ein sensationeller Erfolg für die Netflix-Produktion. Die ebenfalls mit neun Nominierungen bedachte Tragikomödie The Banshees of Inisherin von Martin McDonagh ging hingegen leer aus.
Ebenfalls bemerkenswert: die Kategorie Bester Animationsfilm geht dieses Jahr nicht an Disney. Guillermo del Toro holt sich das Ding für seinen wunderbaren Stopmotion-Animationsfilm PINOCCHIO. Guillermo Del Toro ist der erste Mensch in der Geschichte der Academy Awards, der einen Oscar für den Besten Film, die Beste Regie und den Besten Animationsfilm gewonnen hat.
Noch ein Triumph: zwar wurde der unglaubliche Tollywood-Film RRR nur mit einer Nominierung bedacht, der Song „Naatu Naatu“ holt ihn sich aber direkt schlängelt sich an Superstars wie Lady Gaga und Rihanna vorbei. Der erste Tollywood-Oscar überhaupt!
