Eigentlich ist es noch ein bisschen früh für Jahresrückblicke, aber auch hier hat sich eine Kultur des „Erster“ durchgesetzt. Editor Ben Zuk hat im Video 2015 Salute to Cinema sein Filmjahr in eine wunderbare Collage gebracht, die ebenso Blockbuster-Spektakel wie Independent-Kino umfasst. Wenn auch mal mit einer Länge oder Dopplung präsentieren sich in diesen knapp sieben Minuten Kinofilme von „Avengers: Age of Ultron“ bis „Jurassic World“, „Mad Max: Fury Road“ bis „Crimson Peak“, über „Die Peanuts“ und „Paddington“ bis „Shaun das Schaf“ bis hin zu „Brooklyn“, „Beasts of No Nation“ und „Ich, Earl und das Mädchen“. Eine Collage, so bunt und vielfältig wie das Kino selbst. Und mit doch vielen Momenten, wo man kurz denkt: wow, stimmt, das sah ziemlich großartig aus, sich erinnert, wie sehr man weinte oder wie viel Spaß dieser Filmmoment bereitete. Kino ist trotz aller Diskussionen und Herausforderungen so lebendig und aufregend, immer wieder eine große Wundertüte.
